What a wonderful First Friday@Finite!
Gwendolin Lewis inspired a packed audience with her tales of joining an overseas art getaway and extending her art practice while on holiday. Learning from local tutors and joining an international group with a common interest must be every artist’s ideal holiday!
From her paintings of the receding tide at Mousehole to the churning sea at Porthgwarra, Gwendolin has depicted not just the scenery, but the wild feel of the coast of Cornwall.
Gwendolin also gave a brief demonstration in using pastels over a prepared ground as a teaser for her Pastel workshop on 13th August. I am looking forward to hearing more about Gwendolin’s Cornish experience during the workshop as well as learning all about using pastels.
