Happy Birthday Finite Gallery !

Happy Birthday Finite Gallery !

Finite Gallery opened it’s doors for the first time on the 20th April, 2013.

At the time it was not known how long the ‘old servo’ building would be available. That’s why the gallery was called ‘Finite’ – we knew it wouldn’t be there forever.

Since moving to it’s new premises, the gallery has grown and prospered and is looking forward to the next 3 years!

A message from gallery Director, Leslie Duffin :-

“Today is the 3rd anniversary of the opening of Finite Gallery.

I had no idea of the journey I was about to undertake when I decided to “give it a go” in the old servo at Caves Beach.

I have been called a “maverick”, the gallery has been referred to as a “haven”, visitors have been “astounded” to find a “real art gallery” in a place like Caves Beach and the locals have embraced the gallery as their own “special place”.
I thank David Saddington for initially offering me the use of the old building, Bill Saddington and the crew at Caves Beachside for their ongoing support and the wonderful owners of my new premises, Carole and Liz, who have made it possible for Finite Gallery to continue.

Mostly I would like to thank the people who continue to support what the gallery does – the exhibiting artists who trust their work to me, the art lovers who view and buy the work, the folk who attend classes and workshops and the wonderful tutors who teach them. “

Happy Birthday Finite Gallery!
