If you missed the last Shibori workshop, then here is your chance to join us in the new year for another one!

Explore shibori techniques to create your own beautiful pieces in this face to face workshop. Shibori dyeing is a way of making patterns on fabric by exposing only some portions of the fabric to dye. Tie, pinch, fold, concertina, clamp and stitch your fabric then dye it.

This workshop is a great opportunity to enjoy handmade processes and have fun learning how to continue these traditional crafts.
Feel free to bring anything smallish that you want to dye – preferably cotton.

*Please bring your own lunch – there is a fridge, but no reheating facility in the gallery. Lunch may be purchased from the nearby café if you prefer. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.

Cost: $100 includes materials. Please bring an apron and rubber gloves.

Please do not attend the workshop if you are feeling unwell. Temperature checks will be done on arrival. Social distancing measures will be in place.
