For those who have already attended Lezlie Tilley’s COLOUR workshop, or for anyone who has a basic understanding of colour, here is the follow-on you requested!

In this 2 day workshop, Lezlie will guide participants through a further exploration of colour and the ways it can be used.

Saturday

1. Colour + Space – investigate the 3 properties of colour to express pictorial space
2. Colour + Light – investigate warm = light cool = dark = Impressionism

Then develop a painting/design expressing these concepts

Sunday

Colour Inventories – developing a palette from alternate/found sources

1. magazines, books, artworks,objects
2. natural world

Will then build a design/painting expressing these two sources

Students are asked to bring along a selection of magazines, coloured images plus objects from the natural world e.g.. leaves, stones, shells or anything else from nature that have a range of colours.

Also needed: paints and coloured papers + glue stick + brushes etc + cartridge paper in the form of a workbook.

Cost: $200 includes lunch
