Spend the day learning the coiling technique of basketry using mixed fibres to create visually stunning baskets. Discover the joy of the basketry weaving process. For many basketry weaving is all about the process – a very soothing repetitive process that provides for a calming and meditative experience. Students will also be rewarded by discovering and sharing the delight resulting from creating with other like minded people.
This workshop is suitable for the beginner and an excellent way to explore and extend your own creativity. Trudi will guide you through each step in a relaxed and friendly environment so that each person will take home their own unique and gorgeous basket.
Morning tea is provided, but please bring your lunch (or you can purchase from the nearby café or take-away)
Classes are kept small to allow for optimum individual learning and flexible teaching, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Cost: $110 All materials included.
